A daily average hides a sequence

An imported daily heart-rate summary may come from many measurements, gaps, and processing rules. It is not the same object as a clinician's spot measurement or a full raw signal.

The device model, firmware, wearing conditions, and aggregation method can affect interpretation.

Four labels that help

“Connected” is not a complete answer to the last question. A system may receive readings without a person monitoring them continuously.

Avoid creating false duplicates

The same data can arrive through multiple apps or exports. If a dashboard counts each import as a separate observation, it can make coverage appear more complete than it is. Provenance and identifiers help reveal those repeated pathways.

For a patient, the practical question is which readings the team wants and what action follows. For an analyst, it is whether the imported measurement is fit for the intended use. Neither is settled simply because the information now sits beside clinical data in the same interface.
